An efficient, high gain and wide bandk antenna structure consisting of a microstrip antenna fed Yagi array placed in Fabry-Perot Cavity resonator. The metal plated structure is fed by a microstrip antenna that acts as a driven element and ground plane as a reflector. The metal patches act as directors. Gain as well as bandwidth improvement is achieved by fabricating third director at at the bottom of FR4 superstrate. The microstrip antenna is suitable for satellite as well as terrestrial communications.
