About the project: The National Centre for Aerospace Innovation and Research (NCAIR) is a collaborative consortium of the Indian aerospace manufacturing sector, Government of India and academia providing research and technology services to its affiliates. The centre undertakes R&D projects for its partners, conducts workshops, and provides consultancy services in the field of aerospace materials and manufacturing. First class ME/M.Tech/MS. in Electrical/ Computer Engineering. More than 5 years experience in a reputed industry. Master level proficiency in C and C++, UML.
1. Responsibility of Software development life cycle including design, development, testing, documentation and deployment to applications.
2. Analyzing requirements, planning and defining scope of the project with interaction with the industry and other groups in the centre and its timely execution.
3.Resource management and team leadership with monitoring and reporting progress of team.
Position & Salary
Project Research Associate (5 Post
) Consolidated salary Rs.28000 - 42000/- p.m.
M.E/M.Tech in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering. Experience : 0-2 years. Skills required: Basic level understanding of Materials and Finite Element Modelling.
The selected person will be responsible for the below responsibilities:
1.Modelling, research and development of fatigue life calculation methodology related tools.
2.Mechanical tests (fatigue/UTS/hardness) and characterization of aerospace materials (Titanium/Magnesium alloy/ Composites).
3.Thermomechanical processing and characterization.
He/She should own and lead the projects assigned and work closely with Project team to meet all deliverables based on program requirements. He/She Should comply with the NCAIR quality management system requirements. He/She Should work with senior researcher/Subject matter experts to deliver projects/programs.
Position & Salary
Project Research Assistant (1 Post
) Consolidated salary Rs.21000 - 31000/- p.m.
First class BE/B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering. 1-2 years of experience in Toolpath planning, cutting tool selection, and fixture design. Programming/Software skills required (one or more): i) PowerMILL, FeatureCAM, Siemens NX CAM, ii) CATIA V5/V6, SolidWorks. iii) C/C++, MATLAB
The candidate would be keen to work in the area of manufacturing process optimization, particularly machining of aerospace materials.
The scope of research work will include one or more of the following:
i) Manufacturing process planning for aerospace related components: machining strategy selection, cutting tool selection etc.
ii) Cutting force modeling and optimization.
iii) Tool wear/life analysis and optimization.
iv) Toolpath strategies for efficient machining and higher productivity.
v) Machined surface roughness/quality improvement.
The appointment is for time bound project and the candidate is required to work mainly for the successful completion of the
