About the project: The National Carbonaceous Aerosol Program (NCAP) of the Indian Network for Climate Change Assessment (INCCA) was launched in March 2011 by the Ministry of Environment Forests and Climate Change.
Position & Salary
Junior Research Fellow (1 Post
) Consolidated salary Rs.25000/- p.m. + HRA
BE/B.Tech in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or relevant Engineering disciplines with valid GATE score. OR ME/M.Tech in Environmental, Civil, Chemical or relevant Engineering disciplines. OR MSc in Environmental science, Chemistry, Earth science, Atmospheric science or equivalent with valid CSIR/UGC-NET/GATE score.
Desirable: Fluent in Marathi or Gujarati language; willingness to work in a team.
Note: The candidate will require to travel ~30% time to the field sites which will mostly be villages in Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Conducting field surveys residential households and open-field burning surveys in rural areas and vehicular surveys in urban areas;
Conducting laboratory experiments to estimate biomass fuel properties (ultimate analysis, proximate analysis and calorific value);
Conducting residential biomass emission measurements in Maharashtra & Gujarat;
Data entry, basic files preparation and data consolidation using MS office.
Assistance in sample preparations in laboratory and coordination with stake holders for setting up field measurements.
The appointment is for time bound project and the candidate is required to work mainly for the successful completion of the
